Resolution Run 5 km
Resolution Run is a community 5 km event held on January 1, 2027, at the Essen Haus Inn and Conference Center in Middlebury, Indiana (240 CR 20). The start and finish are at the Essen Haus Conference Center. Family pricing is available.
The route begins on Wayne Street in front of the venue, follows road surface for approximately one mile, and then continues on the Pumpkinvine Trail for the remaining 2.1 miles where it is separated from car traffic. The course is roughly triangular with about one mile per side and has two primary right turns. Weather on race day has varied widely in past years, from sub-zero conditions to clear roads.
This event is an annual fundraiser for the Middlebury Food Pantry; every penny of entry proceeds goes to the pantry for bulk food purchases. Awards include Top 3 overall male and female in the 5 km and age group awards three deep across 15 age groups. Optional long sleeve performance shirts are offered for $16 and vintage colors are $10; vintage shirts are not dated. The race is the first event in the 2027 Fleet Feet Mishawaka Race Series. Results are provided by THTiming.com and StoneSoupPromotions.com. Ample parking is available at the venue; participants are asked to avoid parking by the Inn lobby area on the back side near the finish and to use the front entrance.
