Wadsworth Half Trog

The Wadsworth Half Trog is a fell race scheduled for 9 November 2025. The course is 9.3 miles (15 km) with about 1,400 ft (420 m) of ascent. The route is only partially flagged and covers varied moorland terrain. Competitors are asked not to recce the moors on a Saturday because there are regular shoots. The venue is to be confirmed.

The route includes a sequence of checkpoints (CP1 to CP8) such as High Brown Knowl Trig, Dean Head reservoirs embankment, Warley Moor reservoir, and Sheepstones Trig. The race is flagged onto the moor at the start and from CP8 to the finish. A map is published by the organisers.

Entry and requirements

Pre-entry fees are £5.00 for FRA members and £7.50 for non-members, with a pre-entry deadline of 8 November 2024 on SiEntries. Entry on the day fees are £6.00 (members) and £8.50 (non-members). Entry on the day may be available up to the race limit of 200. Minimum age is 18.

Not carrying the correct kit will prevent racing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
