About the race
Wadsworth Half Trog is a local classic fell race near Hebden Bridge, starting from The Hare and Hounds Pub in Chiserley, Old Town. The course covers 9.3 miles (15 km) with about 1,400 ft (420 m) of ascent, delivering the full Trog’s rugged terrain in a shorter format. Expect varied, tough ground with some mud.
The route is partially flagged and features eight checkpoints, including High Brown Knowl, Warley Moor, and Sheepstones, with a mid-race cut-off at CP5. The event is FRA-licensed (non-GPS) and requires mandatory kit. It’s known for its challenging terrain and quintessential local atmosphere for keen fell runners.
