Phoenix: Manchester - Feisty and Fluffy Phoenix - The Sequel

This event takes place on Saturday 05 December 2026 at Burrs Country Park, Woodhill Rd, Bury BL8 1DA. It is a lapped running event on mostly hard-packed trail and riverside trail with an approximate elevation gain of 187 ft per 3.28 miles. The route may be adjusted for safety depending on weather.

Runners may complete as many laps as they choose within a seven hour time limit. All participants receive a giveaway medal or memento. The first 50 entrants will receive a limited edition yellow Phoenix soft toy to match the event medal.

Distances based on lap count:

  • 1 lap = 3.28 miles
  • 2 laps = 6.6 miles
  • 4 laps = Half marathon
  • 8 laps = Marathon
  • 9+ laps = Ultra

An aid station will be available throughout the day with items such as crisps, pretzels, cookies, biscuits, bananas, squash, and water. Toilets and registration are at The Sunnywood Hub. There is ample public parking within Burrs Country Park, mostly free. As part of a charity pledge, £1 per entry will be donated to The Sunnywood Project.
