Event Information
The Wade Mountain Marathon takes place in Huntsville, Alabama. It is described as North Alabama's only trail marathon. The event also offers a half marathon and a 10K race.
The race is held on trails in late October, with average temperatures noted as 49°F to 73°F. It is a "cupless" event, meaning participants must provide their own handheld bottle, pack, or reusable cup, as no paper cups are available at aid stations. A reusable RunningLane cup can be purchased for $5 at registration.
Registration and Amenities
All race entries include a hooded sweatshirt, a finisher medal, and a post-race meal of grilled hamburgers and drinks. The cutoff time for the marathon is 8 hours, with a checkpoint at approximately the halfway point. The half marathon has a 6-hour cutoff. Age group awards are offered for all distances.
Packet pickup is available at the RunningLane store in Huntsville the day before the race and on race morning. The event has a no-refund, no-deferral, and no-transfer policy.
