Event overview
The Waco Run Tour - Battle of the Badges takes place on January 31, 2026, in Waco, TX. It is the second annual edition and is race #1 of the WACO RUN TOUR. The event features a friendly competition between the Waco Fire and Police Departments. Proceeds will benefit Waco Professional Firefighters - IAFF 478 and The Waco Police Association. The event is open to runners and walkers.

All participants receive a dri-fit t-shirt and the first medal in the Waco Run Tour series. The first 500 participants receive the series medal. The series uses four stackable medals that form the series logo when combined.
Logistics and policies
Location: Waco Fire Station 1, 100 Peach Street, Waco, TX 76706. Early packet pickup is available on the day before the race at Waco Fire Station 1. Entry fees listed for the events are: Half Marathon $50, 5K $30, 1 Mile Fun Run $20. Prices increase after January 31, 2026.
The event is rain or shine. In severe weather, participants will be transferred to a virtual 5K option and may run and submit their own time. No refunds are given; registrations for nonattending participants will be contributed to the beneficiary organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
