Poultry in Motion : Waco Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K and 1K Run/Walk
This event takes place in Waco, Texas on Thursday November 26, 2026, centered at Indian Spring Park near the Waco Suspension Bridge and 101 N. University Parks. Packet pick up is available the day before at Waco Running Company and on race morning at the park.
Offered events include the following distances:
- 5K timed run walk
- 1K non timed fun run walk
The 5K is a professionally timed event on a USATF certified course with certificate ID TX15045LAB. Awards are planned for overall male and female, masters male and female, age groups, and a best Thanksgiving related costume. A pie eating competition is included as a separate event.
Shirts are a cotton blend short sleeved design and are included for the 5K and the 1K when participants are registered by November 15, 2026; shirt availability and sizes are only guaranteed for registrations by that date. The kids entry for ages 10 and under is untimed and does not include a shirt; shirts may be available for separate purchase. The event lists a Who's Your Side Dish option that is untimed and does not include a shirt.
