Wabash Run The River
Wabash Run The River returns for its fifth year, offering a chip-timed racing experience in the heart of Wabash County. The event features multiple distances that take participants along the scenic Wabash River Trail. The course consists mostly of paved trails, though the half marathon distance includes a small section of crushed gravel.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k
- 5k
- MyTeam Triumph 5k and 10k categories
The event includes both adult and youth registration options, with specific pricing for runners aged 17 and under. Every participant receives a finisher medal, and those who register by April 30th receive an event tank top. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the adult half marathon, 10k, and 5k races.
Logistical support includes four water stations placed along the routes, with restrooms available at every station. Timing mats are utilized throughout the course to verify race times. The event is held rain or shine at the Friendship Hill Inclusive Playground, which also serves as the site for packet pick-up and day-of registration. Complimentary parking is available at several nearby locations. The race weekend also coincides with the Wabash First Friday family-friendly street festival.
