Firecracker 5K - Peru, Indiana
The 22nd Annual Firecracker 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 in Peru, Indiana at the Peru Fire Department, 85 W Canal St. The event features a 3.1 mile running race with disposable tag timing, cotton tie dye shirts, custom finisher medals, food, and grab bag items.
Registration details include an early rate received by June 1, 2026 of $20 and a late registration rate of $25. To guarantee a shirt and a grab bag participants must register by June 24, 2026. All participants receive one entry in a Garmin Forerunner drawing; registering by June 27, 2026 provides one additional entry.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female finishers and to first through third place finishers in the following age groups: 14 and younger, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. There is also an award for Most Patriotic Participants.
