Tree Trail Trot
The Tree Trail Trot is a 5K trail race held on the gently rolling, wooded trails of Salamonie Lake within Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area. The course begins and ends at the Wildlife Management Pond located near the modern campgroup. The event is chip timed for this year.
All ages are welcome; children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Friendly dogs on a 6 ft or shorter leash are permitted. Strollers are discouraged because trails are semi rugged and include a short section with steps. Race participants receive free entry into the state park. Day of registration will be available the morning of the event.
Registration opens October 9, 2026 and closes April 4, 2027. The registration fee is $20.00.
A pancake breakfast will be served free for participants, with a suggested free will donation requested of the public. Freshly picked sweet corn will be available for purchase during the event. Proceeds support the Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services to fund events, education, and the Interpretive Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
