Tree Trail Trot : Salamonie Lake 5K trail run
The Tree Trail Trot is a 5K trail run held at Salamonie Lake within the Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area in Andrews, Indiana. The course uses gently rolling, wooded trails and begins and ends at the Wildlife Management Pond near the modern campgroup. The race will be chip timed for the first time this year.
The event is open to all ages and abilities. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Friendly dogs on a 6 ft or shorter leash are welcome. Strollers are discouraged because portions of the trail are semi-rugged and there is a short section with steps.
A pancake breakfast will be served free for participants; the public may attend with a suggested free will donation. Freshly picked sweet corn will be available for purchase during the event. Proceeds from the event are directed to Friends of the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services to support events, education, and the Interpretive Center.
