About the race
The VIRR Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 at Keokea Park in Kula, Maui. The event is organized as a combined run and walk over a short course.
The course is a 5K out-and-back that begins at Keokea Park, follows Thompson Road to its end, and returns to the park. The advertised distance is 5K (3.1 miles).
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes; awards will be given to the three participants judged to have the funniest costumes. The event also collects donations for Maui's Food Bank, including non-perishable food items and monetary contributions.
Registration information is provided for the event: registration opens August 24, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. The published registration fee is $25.00, and VIRR club members are eligible to participate without fee, with the membership discount applied during checkout.
