Maui Oceanfront Marathon
The Maui Oceanfront Marathon is a multi-distance running event held on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The event serves as the RRCA Hawaii State Marathon Championship and supports various local charities, schools, and organizations through its fundraising efforts.
The event offers several race distances:
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 6-Mile run
- 5K run
- Thursday's Cookie Run
The Marathon is a point-to-point race that begins at the Shops at Wailea and concludes at Launiupoko Beach Park in Lahaina. The Half Marathon is also a point-to-point course, starting near the Ocean Center at Ma'alaea Harbor. The 6-Mile run utilizes a point-to-point format as well, with a start line located near Papalaua Beach. In contrast, the 5K course follows an out-and-back route starting and ending at the main finish line area.
Participants can also take part in a community event called the Cookie Run, which takes place in Kihei on the Thursday preceding the main race day.
