About the race
The Maui 5K takes place on March 7, 2027 in Wailuku, Hawaii, at 192 Ma'alaea Rd. The event offers multiple race and participation options for adults and youth and includes on-site and virtual choices.
Available events include:
- 5K Run timed
- 5K Run untimed (no race timing, no age group awards)
- Youth 5K timed (17yrs and under)
- Youth 5K untimed (17yrs and under, no age group awards)
- 1 Mile Run/Walk untimed
- Youth 1 Mile Walk (17yrs and under)
- Stroller
- Virtual 5K or 1 Mile Run/Walk
One hundred percent of the event proceeds are donated back to the school designated during online registration. The event is organized under the Run For Fitness mission, which aims to promote health and fitness for Hawaii’s children by increasing participation in youth sports and providing funds for equipment and physical fitness programs.
Age group awards are available for timed entries; untimed participants are not eligible for age group awards. The event plan includes presentation of 132 awards across male and female age divisions starting with young children and extending to older adult categories. Race day 5K entries will be untimed only.
