Ville to Ville Coastal Relay
The Ville to Ville Coastal Relay is a roughly 68 miles team relay across the South Carolina Lowcountry from Summerville to Mount Pleasant, finishing at the Lawn at Ferry Wharf in Mount Pleasant. The course passes through historic Charleston, barrier islands, and marshland.
Teams consist of three to six runners who complete a total of 12 relay legs, each 3-9 miles in length. Each team is supported by its own race vehicle that transports runners to and from designated transition points. To complete the route in one day, teams must maintain an overall pace of 11:30 minutes per mile or less; final team pace estimates are due on September 7, 2027.
All runners must be 21 or older. Team sizes may be three to six members. Team categories available at registration include Open Co-ed, Open, Open Female, Masters, Masters Female, and Masters Co-ed. Team names are submitted during registration and can be changed until September 7, 2027. The deadline to guarantee shirt sizes and submit overall team information is noted in the event materials.
Team registration options and fees include a Team Captain registration requiring a $300 deposit, a total team fee of $775, and a $475 balance due by July 15, 2027. Teams with unpaid balances after July 15 will forfeit their spot and deposit. Teams registering after July 15 must pay the full fee at registration. A 5.5% processing fee applies to online payments.
Team members join via a team password provided by the captain. A waitlist option is available with a $35 deposit; only one person per team should join the waitlist and deposits will be refunded if no spot is offered. Changes to team rosters are allowed up to race day, with a $25 fee for changes made after October 10, 2027.
The event is rain or shine and the race director may modify the course or event due to inclement weather or state restrictions. Packet pickup, welcome reception, and race theme details are to be announced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
