Event Overview
The Ville to Ville Coastal Relay is a one-day team running relay scheduled for October 17, 2026. This is an inaugural event for the Lowcountry region.
Course and Format
The course spans roughly 70 miles from Summerville, South Carolina, to Mount Pleasant. The route passes through historic Charleston, barrier islands, and marshland before finishing with a view of the Cooper River at the Lawn at Ferry Wharf in Mount Pleasant.
Teams consist of three to six runners. Each team completes 12 relay legs, with individual legs ranging from 3 to 9 miles each. Teams use their own vehicle to shuttle runners between designated transition points along the course.
Post-Race and Theme
The finish line celebration includes live music, food, and drinks. The event has a "Family Vacations" theme, encouraging teams to dress up and decorate their vehicles.
Team Details
Several team categories are available, including Open Co-ed, Open, Open Female, Masters, Masters Female, and Masters Co-ed. All participants must be 21 years of age or older. Teams must maintain an average pace of 11:30 minutes per mile or less to finish in one day.
