Ville to Ville Coastal Relay

The Ville to Ville Coastal Relay is a one-day team running event held in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Spanning approximately 70 miles, the course begins in Summerville and concludes in Mount Pleasant. Participants travel through historic Charleston, barrier islands, and marshland, finishing with views of the Cooper River.

Teams consist of three to six runners who collectively complete 12 relay legs. Each leg ranges from 3 to 9 miles. The event requires each team to provide their own race vehicle to transport runners between designated transition points along the course. Participation is open to runners aged 21 and older.

To ensure all participants reach the post-race celebration, teams must maintain an average pace of 11:30 minutes per mile or faster. The event features various registration categories, including:

  • Open Co-ed (minimum of 2 females)
  • Open (all-male or majority male)
  • Open Female (all females)
  • Masters (all members 40+, all-male or majority male)
  • Masters Female (all members 40+, all females)
  • Masters Co-ed (all members 40+, minimum of 2 females)

The relay includes a designated theme, with the inaugural edition focusing on family vacations. Participants are encouraged to decorate their transport vans and wear themed attire. A post-race celebration at the Lawn at Ferry Wharf includes live music and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
