First Day 5k : Cane Bay Plantation
The First Day 5k takes place in Cane Bay Plantation in Summerville, South Carolina. The event includes an in-person 5K Run/Walk and a 5K virtual option. Registration fee is $35.00.
The course begins at the Cane Bay Elementary School parking lot and follows the community paved multi-use trail system. The route is a flat loop of approximately 3.1 miles that passes through two tunnels, goes under Cane Bay Blvd twice, and runs along the Nexton Parkway Extension where runners cross the parkway with Sheriff's Deputies stationed for safety. Pets are not allowed.
Participants receive a 2027 hooded sweatshirt and free coffee or cocoa at the finish. Awards are given to male and female finishers 1st through 3rd overall and in these age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Packet pick-up is scheduled December 30 at Fleet Feet Carnes Crossroads from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on race day at the race site from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
