Cocoa Cup 5K
The 13th Annual Cocoa Cup 5K takes place at Brown Family Park at Nexton in Summerville, South Carolina. This winter event features a festive course and multiple running distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Kid's Run (for ages 12 and under)
Registration for the 5K includes a commemorative hoodie, a cocoa cup, and other items. Participants in the 5K can expect a warm beverage following the completion of the race. Registration is required for all events, including the 1 mile run.
The event includes several holiday activities at the race site. Attendees can participate in a holiday costume contest with prizes awarded for festive attire. A photo booth is available for pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves. The post-race festivities also include an awards ceremony.
The race is held rain or shine, and refunds are not issued. Strollers are permitted on the course. For safety reasons, pets are not allowed at the event. Proceeds from the race support local organizations, including East Cooper Community Outreach, the Lowcountry Food Bank, and The Navigation Center. Packet pickup is available at specific Fleet Feet locations in Mount Pleasant and Summerville in the days leading up to the race, as well as at the race site on the morning of the event.
