About the race
The Village of South Holland Fun Run is a community 5K run/walk held at Veterans Memorial Park, 500 East 160th Place, South Holland, Illinois, on September 19, 2026. The course is USATF certified and measures 3.1 miles.
Registration includes a race bag with a long-sleeve race shirt and assorted items while supplies last. All finishers receive a finisher’s medal; age-division awards are given for 1st through 3rd place (male and female), and overall first-place male and female finishers receive a monetary prize. A portion of registration fees benefits Restoration Ministries.
Packet pick-up is at the Village of South Holland (16226 Wausau Ave) on Wednesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 17, with attendees receiving their race bib, shirt, and goodie bag at those times. Free parking is available at designated lots, including First Reformed Church and municipal lots behind the SoHo Shops; note that some lots have arrival restrictions before the event.
The event includes a costume contest with categories for most creative, best group, and best kid’s costume; winners receive Amazon gift cards. Event amenities and support listed for participants include medical coverage at the finish and along the course, a race announcer, DJ and live music, a warm-up session, post-race refreshments, vendor booths, and selfie stations.
