Village of South Holland Fun Run 5K
The Village of South Holland Fun Run is a community 5K run and walk held on September 19, 2026 at Veterans Memorial Park, 500 East 160th Place, South Holland, Illinois. The course is USATF certified and measures 5K (3.1 miles). All finishers receive a finisher's medal and age division awards are given for first through third place in male and female categories. Overall first place male and female receive a monetary prize.
Registration includes a race bag with a long sleeve race shirt and other items while supplies last. A portion of registration fees benefits Restoration Ministries, which supports underprivileged youth, people overcoming addiction, and families facing poverty. Packet pick up is scheduled prior to the event at the Village of South Holland office, 16226 Wausau Avenue.
Event operations include course medical support at the finish and along the route, race announcer and DJ music, live music on course, an energetic warm up, vendor booths, post race refreshments in the pavilion, and selfie stations. A costume contest will recognize most creative costume, best group costume, and best kid's costume; winners receive Amazon gift cards. Parking is available at First Reformed Church and municipal lots near Louis Avenue and East 161st Street. Organizers place runners toward the front and walkers toward the back, and a minimum 20 minute per mile pace is required for course support.
