The Victoria Half
The Victoria Half is a multisport event held on Vancouver Island for over 25 years. It combines a lake swim, a bike course and runs on local lake trails.
The swim takes place on a calm one loop course at Elk Lake. The bike route passes through Saanich. Runs use flat soft trails around Elk and Beaver Lakes. The event offers multiple triathlon and related race categories as well as open road runs.
Categories include Olympic, Sprint, Duathlon, Aquabike, Try-A-Tri and Relay. The event also features open runs of 5 km, 10 km and 21 km.
The event serves as a venue for championships and qualification races. The listed edition includes the 2026 Provincial Long Course Championships and is a qualifying event for the 2027 World Triathlon Championships in Edmonton. It also includes one age group long course, one age group duathlon (Standard) and one age group aquabike (Standard). Participants receive a commemorative hoodie as part of the event tradition.
