Event overview

The 22nd Annual Stewart Mountain 10/5 Mile Challenge is the third event in the Harriers Thetis Lake Fall Trail Series. It takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Thetis Lake Regional Park in View Royal, British Columbia. The event is sanctioned by BC Athletics and has an overall entry limit of 600 participants.

Course, distances, entry and amenities

The event uses main and secondary park trails with mud, rocks and water crossings over rolling terrain. The long course includes a significant climb to the summit of Stewart Mountain. Courses may change slightly year to year and will be well marked; participants must watch for directional indicators.

Distances:

  • 10 Miles (approximately 16 km)
  • 5 Miles (approximately 8 km)

Online registration includes processing fees; alternative payment by cheque, cash or EFT can be arranged to avoid some online charges. Discounts on advance registration are available for PIH club members and BC Athletics members. Day-of registration at the beach is by cash or cheque only unless the registrant has internet access. Package pickup is available only on race day at the main beach start/finish area.

Age categories are listed for men and women: 19 and under, 20-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over; U16 and 70+ may be added if numbers warrant. Ribbons and special awards are given by category.
