Stewart Mountain Challenge
The 23rd annual Stewart Mountain 10/5 Mile Challenge takes place at Thetis Lake Regional Park in View Royal, BC. It is event three of the Harriers Thetis Lake Fall Trail Series and is sanctioned by BC Athletics as a cross country event. The course uses main and secondary park trails and features mud, rocks, water crossings and rolling terrain. The long course includes a significant climb to the top of Stewart Mountain. Courses may change slightly each year based on authorized trails and race day conditions, and will be well marked; participants are responsible for watching for directional indicators.

- 10 Miles (approximately 16 kilometres)
- 5 Miles (approximately 8 kilometres)
Start and finish are located near the main beach. Parking is available in the main lot at the end of Six Mile Road, or participants can cycle the Galloping Goose trail and park at the beach. Entry is limited to 600 participants. Registration uses staged pricing with discounts available to Prairie Inn Harriers club members and BC Athletics members; an online processing fee applies and day of registration is by cash or cheque only. Package pickup is available only on race day at the start/finish area. Onsite amenities include portable toilets and a dry bag drop; the wash/change building will be closed. Proceeds support Harriers Foundation initiatives including scholarships and bursaries; several awards have distributed funds to students through 2020.
