VFW District 21 Auxiliary Color Run
The event takes place on Saturday, May 29, 2027, at VFW Post 10429, 1000 Stevens Drive, Benbrook, Texas. It is organized to bring awareness to suicide prevention. Proceeds will benefit a non-profit organization that provides services to veterans and first responders facing life struggles.
The main activity is a 5K color run and walk that starts and finishes at the VFW post. The course crosses Stevens Drive onto Lakeview Drive, enters the Benbrook Lake Park entrance gate, follows the lakeside view, and returns to the post for a total distance of 3.1 miles. A water station and restroom facilities are available at the one mile marker. The turnaround point is marked by a sign.
Registration fees increase over time, beginning at $20 for early registration and reaching $45 on the day of the event. T-shirts are included with registrations made by April 30; registrations from May 1 onward do not include a shirt, though shirts will be available for purchase on race day with size availability not guaranteed. Additional shirts are offered for sale at specified prices.
Packet pickup is available on May 27 and May 28 at Luke's Locker at The Shops at Clear Fork, 5255 Monahans Ave, Fort Worth. Race day packet pickup and registration are available at the race site. Participants who register after May 25 can pick up packets only on race day.
Post-run activities include music, food such as hot dogs and chips, vendors, raffles and door prizes, and a cash canteen. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
