VFW District 21 Auxiliary Color Run
The event is a community 5K color run and walk held on Saturday, May 29, 2027, at VFW Post 10429 in Benbrook, TX. The run is organized to bring awareness to suicide prevention, and proceeds will benefit non-profit organizations that provide services to veterans and first responders.
Entry pricing follows a tiered schedule with earlier registrations offered at reduced rates. T-shirts are included with registrations completed by April 30; registrations from May 1 and later do not include shirts. Extra T-shirts may be pre-ordered by April 30 for $15, and shirts will be available on race day for $15 though sizes and availability are not guaranteed. Pre-registration is available through Athlete360.com per the published pricing windows.
Race day includes on-site registration, an opening ceremony with the national anthem and a route safety briefing, the 5K color run and walk, and post-run festivities. Post-run activities feature music, food such as hot dogs and chips, vendors, raffles and door prizes, and a cash canteen.
Packet pickup is scheduled in the days before the event at Luke's Locker at The Shops at Clear Fork, with additional packet pickup and registration at the race site on race day. Participants who register after May 25 can collect their packet only on race day.
The course starts and finishes at VFW Post 10429, crosses Stevens Drive onto Lakeview Drive, enters the Benbrook Lake Park gate and follows a route beside Benbrook Lake. A water station and restroom facilities are available at the one mile marker, and the course turns at a marked halfway point for a total distance of 3.1 miles.
