Veterans Memorial Day 5K - Camillus
This event is a point to point 5K road race held in Camillus, New York on May 25, 2026. The course is certified (NY-07039JG) and follows the Memorial Day parade and the same route the 1996 Olympic Torch took on its way to Atlanta. The last kilometer runs along the historic Camillus Erie Canal Trail and the finish is at the historic Sims Store.
Race day includes online only registration and packet pick-up at the Camillus Senior Center on First Street. General registration opens February 8, 2026 and closes May 3, 2026; the listed registration fee is $25.00. Special discounted pricing is available for participants under 18 if they register before race day. Premium items are available only through race day.
The event is point to point and the Village is about one mile from the finish line. Organizers suggest parking along Newport Road, Van Alstine Road, and DeVoe Road to allow a short warm up jog to the start. About 15,000 parade spectators are noted at the start along the Memorial Day parade course.
Upon finishing, the top two male and top two female runners will be awarded and every runner will receive a commemorative American flag pin as they cross the finish line. Donuts will be available.
