Veterans Day 5K Fun Run or Walk
The event takes place on November 14, 2026 at Hampton Park, 30 Mary Murray Drive, Charleston, SC. It offers both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option, along with a dedicated registration category for veterans and active duty participants.
Registration opens January 3, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the in-person 5K, $35 for the virtual 5K, and $20 for the veteran and active duty category. Registration deadlines differ by category: the in-person and veteran categories close October 7, 2026, and the virtual category closes November 6, 2026.
All registrants will receive a long sleeve shirt and a medal commemorating the event. To receive the requested shirt size, registration must be completed by September 7, 2026; registrations after that date will receive a shirt but the requested size cannot be guaranteed.
A packet pick-up is planned for Friday, November 13, with details to be posted on the event website and emailed to registered participants before November 1. There will be no packet pick-up on the day of the event. At packet pick-up, one person may collect items for others.
Donations are requested to support the veteran community. Donors may honor a veteran with a flag, 4 in by 6 in, for donations of $10 or more, or with a large sign, 2 ft by 1.5 ft, for donations of $30 or more. Honored names appear on the flags or signs; flags will be placed together at the event and signs will be displayed along the course. Donations are accepted whether or not a person registers for the run or walk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
