Veterans Day 5K Fun Run or Walk - Hampton Park
This event takes place on November 14, 2026 at Hampton Park, 30 Mary Murray Drive, Charleston, South Carolina. It is offered as an in-person run or walk and as a virtual option. The marked distance for the in-person course is 5K.
All registrants will receive both a long sleeve shirt and a medal commemorating the event. Packet pick-up is expected to be held the day before the event, Friday, November 13; there will be no packet pick-up on the day of the event. Packet pick-up details will be posted and emailed to registered participants before November 1. Items may be picked up on behalf of others. Virtual participants will receive shirts and medals by mail to a US, APO, or FPO address; mailing may take a month or more.
For the Hampton Park event the organizers will mark a 5K course that goes around the park three times, but participants may choose a shorter or longer distance. There will be no awards or official timed results, though a time clock is planned at the finish so participants can note personal times. Hampton Park will be closed to traffic during the event.
Proceeds will support local veteran services including the Lowcountry Veterans organization, a local veteran scholarship, and the Charleston VA Medical Center Food Pantry. Donations of flags and signs are accepted with specified donation amounts; flags will be placed together at the event and signs will be displayed along the course. Food items may be brought to packet pick-up or the event for distribution by local veteran service organizations.
