This event is self supported. The course is unmarked and roads remain open; there are no scheduled aid stations. Runners are responsible for their own supplies, refueling and transportation to and from the start and finish locations. The route passes gas stations, restaurants, parks and other public places where runners may refuel, and local members of the running community sometimes provide informal support. Finish times will be monitored for about 18 hours. This is the fifth running of the Charleston Itty Bitty 50; a 100 mile event is not on the schedule this year.
