Charleston Itty Bitty 50 : Mount Pleasant, SC
The Charleston Itty Bitty 50 is a point-to-point, self-supported road event covering 50 miles in and around Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The route begins at the end of the West Ashley Greenway and travels across the Charleston peninsula, through Mount Pleasant and nearby barrier islands before finishing at Park West in Mount Pleasant. The final 400 meters are completed as one lap around the finish track and are timed separately.
The course is unmarked and roads remain open; there are no scheduled aid stations or course markings. Participants are responsible for navigation, resupply and their own transport to the start and from the finish. The route passes multiple gas stations, restaurants, parks and other public stops that runners may use to refuel. Community members have often provided informal support along the way.
Registration opens on February 14, 2026. The field is limited to 75 spots; a waitlist will open after the field fills. The entry requires a $30 donation intended to cover tracker rental; any remaining funds or donations after covering costs will go to a memorial fund designated by the organizer. There are no refunds or bib transfers. Finisher times will be monitored through race day, giving roughly 18 hours to complete the distance. This is the fifth edition of the Charleston Itty Bitty 50; the 100 mile event is not scheduled this year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
