Charleston Itty Bitty 50
The Charleston Itty Bitty 50 is a self supported, point to point 50 mile event held across Charleston County. Registration opens February 14, 2026 and entry is limited to 75 spots; a waitlist will open after those spots are filled. There is a $30 donation required to cover the cost of a tracker. No refunds or bib transfers are offered.
The course is unmarked and runs on open roads; organizers do not provide scheduled aid or course markings. The route begins at the end of the West Ashley Greenway and finishes at the Peyton Johnson Moore Track and Field at Park West in Mount Pleasant. The course travels across the Ashley River Bridge, near the Citadel and Hampton Park, around the Charleston peninsula, over the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, through Mount Pleasant and Sullivan's Island, across the Isle of Palms and up Highway 17 North. Runners complete one lap around the finishing track as the final 400 meter segment; that final 400 meter lap is timed separately.
Support along the route comes from local businesses and community members; there are gas stations, restaurants, parks and bars available for refueling. Participants are responsible for their own crew support and for travel to and from the start and finish. This edition is the fifth running of the Charleston Itty Bitty 50 and the 100 mile option is not on this year's schedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
