Event details
The Charleston Itty Bitty 50 is scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The event offers a 50-mile distance and a 50-mile relay option. Entry requires a $25 donation to cover a tracker; remaining donations go to a memorial fund. There are 75 participant spots for the event this year. Registration opens February 14, 2025, and a waitlist will open after all spots are filled. There are no refunds or bib transfers.
Course and support
The race is a point-to-point route that begins at the end of the West Ashley Greenway and finishes at the track and field at Park West in Mount Pleasant. The course follows public roads and passes through downtown Charleston, bridges, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms. Roads will remain open and the course is unmarked; there will be no scheduled aid stations or official course markings. Runners are self-supported and are responsible for travel to the start, from the finish, and for their own on-course resupply. There are commercial stops along the route such as gas stations, restaurants, parks and bars, and informal community support has been noted in past years. Finishers complete an additional lap on the finish track to reach the 50-mile distance; the final 400 meters is recorded as a separate timed segment.
