Kiawah Island Marathon
The Kiawah Island Marathon and Half Marathon is an annual road race held on Kiawah Island. The 48th edition starts and finishes in West Beach Village, with the start/finish located at the West Beach Conference Center near the intersection of Kiawah Beach Drive and Shipwatch Drive. The courses run through the island community and pass maritime forests, marshes, and residential areas.

- 26.2 miles Marathon
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
Both courses are sanctioned by USA Track & Field and are officially USATF certified (Marathon USATF#SC21005JK, Half Marathon USATF#SC21006JK). Both races are Boston Marathon qualifiers and official marathon results are sent to the Boston Athletic Association.
A limited number of entries are available and registration closes when capacity is reached; race management attempts to provide 24 hours notice before closing. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entry benefits include a long sleeve race shirt, a finishers medal, course support, finish line food and beer, finish line entertainment, and a complimentary shuttle for off island runners from the off island parking area.
Age minimums apply: 14 years old for the Half Marathon and 18 years old for the Marathon. Five year age group categories are used for both men and women, ranging from 18-24 through 75 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
