Event
The Kiawah Island Marathon and Half Marathon is an annual running event hosted by Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The 48th edition is scheduled for 2026. Both races start and finish in West Beach Village at the West Beach Conference Center, near the intersection of Kiawah Beach Drive and Shipwatch Drive. The courses run through the island community and pass maritime forests, marshes, and residential areas.

- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
Both courses are sanctioned by USA Track & Field and are USATF certified (Marathon: SC21005JK; Half Marathon: SC21006JK). Official marathon results are submitted to the Boston Athletic Association and the marathon serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier.
Entry and eligibility
A limited number of entries are available. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Fee benefits include a long sleeve race shirt, finisher medal, course support, food, beer and entertainment at the finish area, and a complimentary shuttle for off-island runners from the off-island parking area. Minimum ages are 14 for the half marathon and 18 for the full marathon. Standard age group categories are used for both men and women.
