Kiawah Island Marathon
The Kiawah Island Marathon and Half Marathon are annual road races held at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The event begins and ends in West Beach Village with the start and finish located at the West Beach Conference Center near Kiawah Beach Drive and Shipwatch Drive. The courses run through the island community, passing maritime forests, salt marshes, and residential areas.

- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
Both courses are sanctioned by USA Track & Field and carry USATF certification numbers SC21005JK for the Marathon and SC21006JK for the Half Marathon. Official marathon results are submitted to the Boston Athletic Association and both races serve as Boston Marathon qualifiers. Age minimums are 18 for the full marathon and 14 for the half; age group divisions are used for men and women.
Entry is limited. Fees are non refundable and non transferable. Registration packages include a long sleeve participant shirt, a finisher medal, on course support, and access to the post race food and entertainment at the finish area. Off island runners are provided a complimentary shuttle from the designated off island parking area.
The event offers additional race options and related activities including shorter fun runs and virtual entries. RaceJoy mobile tracking is available for live GPS progress alerts, remote spectator tracking, and send a cheer audio messages when a runner carries their phone and activates tracking.
