Rules, cutoffs and logistics

All distances are given up to 32 hours to finish. Race directors reserve the right to remove participants for health or safety concerns related to summer heat. Leaving the course for any reason results in a DNF. The race is not crew mandatory, but crews are recommended because some sections have no water access. The organizers advise that the 100 mile distance should not be a runner's first 100 mile attempt; first-time 100 mile attempts require an experienced crew.
