Vergennes Day Race
The Vergennes Day Race is an annual sporting event held in Vergennes, Vermont. Now in its 45th year, the event offers a variety of distances for runners and walkers. Participants start and finish at the local address on East Street.
Available categories include:
- 1k Kids Fun Run
- 5k Walk (3.1 miles)
- 5k Run (3.1 miles)
- 10k Run (6.2 miles)
- 15k Run (9.32 miles)
The event utilizes a medal system for participants. Every person who completes their chosen distance receives a finisher medal. Additionally, the top three finishers in each age group for the 5k, 10k, and 15k distances are awarded placement medals. Age groups are organized into categories starting from under 14 and extending to 80 years and older.
Online registration closes on the evening before the race. While registration is available on the day of the event, those who register in person incur an additional fee. There is a reduced entry rate for students between the ages of 5 and 17 participating in the 5k run. The 1k Kids Fun Run is accessible without a registration fee.
