Vermont Sun Run & Triathlon Series
The Vermont Sun Run & Triathlon Series is a set of multisport and running events held around Lake Dunmore and Branbury State Park, Vermont. The series began in 1986 and in 2026 marks its 41st year. Organizers list more than 200 events and over 40,000 participants historically. The series supports local youth sports, the Brandon Fire Department, Branbury State Park and the Lake Dunmore Fern Lake Association's "Lakes are Alive" campaign. Early bird registration for triathlons includes entry into a drawing for a free night's stay at the Middlebury Inn.

Vermont Sun Triathlon : June 28 (USAT State Championship Race), August 2, and August 30, 2026, Lake Dunmore, Vermont. Distances:
- 600 yard swim
- 14 mile bike
- 3.1 mile run
- Aqua Bike: 600 yard swim + 14 mile bike
Branbury Classic : June 28 and August 2, 2026, Lake Dunmore, Vermont. Distances:
- 1.5 mile paddle
- 14 mile bike
- 3.1 mile run
- Aqua Bike: 1.5 mile paddle + 14 mile bike
Lake Dunmore Triathlon : August 30, 2026, Lake Dunmore, Vermont. Distances:
- 0.9 mile swim
- 28 mile bike
- 6.2 mile run
- Aqua Bike: 0.9 mile swim + 28 mile bike
Branbury admittance for competitors is included in entry fees. Spectators pay $5 for adults and $2 for children by cash only. Dogs are allowed on leash but are not permitted on the beach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
