Ventura Marathon

The Ventura Marathon is a running event in Ventura, California held on February 22, 2026. It offers a full marathon and a half marathon, both run as point to point courses that descend from the Ojai area into Downtown Ventura.

The full marathon starts in Ojai and finishes in the beach town of Ventura, with a net drop of about 900 feet. The full is presented as a strong Boston Marathon qualifier and the 2025 edition was a top Winter Boston Marathon qualifier. The half marathon begins just south of Ojai, follows roads and the Ojai-Ventura bike path, and drops over 500 feet before finishing in Downtown Ventura. The half marathon course is USATF certified.

The event includes a pre- and post-race festival in Downtown Ventura with exhibitor booths, post-race waffles and craft beer. Additional amenities referenced by organizers include a VIP recovery lounge and race merchandise.
