Venice Florida Half Marathon and 5K Run
The event is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at Legacy Park in Venice, Florida. This is the eighth annual running of the weekend races held at Legacy Park, with courses that use the paved Legacy Trail corridor between Venice and Sarasota.
Distances offered
- Half Marathon, course follows the paved Legacy Trail toward Sarasota.
- 5K, out-and-back on paved sections of the Legacy Trail.
Course information notes that interactive maps are available. Aid stations will provide water and Gatorade approximately every two miles or less. The half marathon has a published time limit of 3.5 hours. An athlete guide is released the week of the event.
Entries include race apparel and a finisher medal. Technical shirts and cotton tank tops are distributed at packet pick-up; availability of sizes and styles is not guaranteed. Personalized engraving on the back of the finisher medal is offered at the event for a fee of $10. Awards are presented to the top five finishers in each age group, with categories ranging from 1-10 through 75 and older.
Parking inside Legacy Park is limited; additional on-street parking is available and more parking is located about one third of a mile west at Centennial Park. Volunteer opportunities are available for those who wish to assist. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
