St. Brigid Our Lady of Hope 5K Run/Walk
The St. Brigid Our Lady of Hope 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event held on November 28, 2026 at St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School in Westbury, NY. Proceeds benefit the students of St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope School. The event includes a two-loop 5K course through residential Westbury that starts and finishes on St. Brigid Lane. Chip timing and lap times are provided; one lap equals approximately 1.55 miles.
Amenities and features include race T-shirts subject to availability, a finisher medal, a post-race raffle with prizes valued at over $2,000, and live online results with same-day finish line photos. Packet pickup is offered the day before the event and on race day at the school gym. The front parking lot on St. Brigid Lane is closed for the event; alternative parking is available in the back lot on Drexel Avenue and on nearby residential streets.
Awards and prizes are offered for overall and age group finishers, with a $100 cash prize for any new course record and gift certificate awards for top finishers and community categories. A virtual 5K option is available with a later window for uploading times and photos. Sponsorship opportunities include benefits for donations of $250 or greater, which include a complimentary race entry and name on the event T-shirt.
