Squatchy Leftovers
Squatchy Leftovers is a trail running event at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ, with multiple distances and a kids mile. The organizer provides course maps and GPX files for the courses.
Distances offered include:
- Kids 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- 25K
- 50K
Registration opens on January 1, 2027. Registration deadlines differ by distance: the 25K and 50K close on August 31, 2027; the 5K and 10K close on October 31, 2027; the Kids 1 Mile closes on November 27, 2027. A Hardship Entry option opens on April 24, 2027 and closes on November 25, 2027; that option carries no registration fee. Fees listed for standard entries are $10 for the Kids 1 Mile, $35 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, $55 for the 25K and $85 for the 50K.
The event supports the non profit Bigger Than The Trail. Bigger Than The Trail provides cost free therapy. Hardship entries will be followed up with a code and an opportunity to request a full or partial scholarship. Community members can make donations to the Squatch Community Fund on the event website.
