Squatchy Leftovers Trail Race
The Squatchy Leftovers Trail Race takes place at the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, New Jersey. This event is held at the Turtleback Rock Picnic Area and features a 5K loop course that participants traverse multiple times depending on their chosen distance. The course offers a varied terrain consisting of a mix of wide, hard-packed carriage trails and technical singletrack sections containing rocks and roots.

The course includes approximately 289 feet of elevation gain per loop. Notable features include a rocky descent due to erosion at the one-mile mark and a 100-foot climb at mile 2.5. The event has a total capacity of 400 participants across all distances. An overall cutoff of 8 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all races.
An aid station is located at the start and finish area, providing water, hydration drinks, and various food options, including vegan and gluten-free selections.
