VanderDash
VanderDash is a community running event held March 20, 2027, at 1877 Vanderlyn Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338. The event raises funds that directly support students, teachers, and staff, including funding for playground and classroom improvements and school programs.
The event program includes these distances:
- 1 mile fun run
- 3.1 mile chip timed 5K
Registration opens January 4, 2027. Registration deadlines vary by event, with some closing March 19, 2027, and others on March 20, 2027. Individual registration fees listed by the organizer include $25 for certain entries and $30 for the 5K. A Family Sponsorship option of $150 includes five entries, five race shirts, the family name on the race website, and a yard sign; this donation is tax deductible to the extent of the law.
Bib number pickup for the 5K takes place in the gym on race morning. Race day registration is available via QR code and payment by credit or debit card is accepted.
VanderDash is a certified Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race event. The organizer requests that current Vanderlyn students be registered under a teacher's name only, while parents and other relatives register as Parent or Community Member; incorrect registration under a teacher's name may affect class competition eligibility.
