VanderDash
The VanderDash is an annual community running event held in Dunwoody, Georgia. Celebrating 17 years of supporting Vanderlyn Elementary School, the event serves as a fundraiser to provide playground and classroom improvements and to support various school programs. The race is a certified Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
Participants can choose from the following event options:
- 5K (Chip-Timed)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The event is based at the Vanderlyn Elementary School Gym. 5K participants can collect their bib numbers in the gym on the morning of the race. Registration is available online, and race day registration can be completed via QR code with credit or debit cards.
Registration includes a race shirt for those who complete their entry by February 15, 2026. A family sponsorship option is also available, which provides five entries and shirts, along with recognition on the event website and a yard sign. For those attending as relatives of students, specific registration categories are provided to ensure students remain eligible for class-based competitions.
