VanderDash in Dunwoody
VanderDash is a community running event held on March 21, 2026 at Vanderlyn Elementary School Gym in Dunwoody, GA (1877 Vanderlyn Drive, 30338). The event marks the 17th year of support for Vanderlyn Elementary School.
Event types include:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5K (chip timed)
- Sponsorship entry for participants not running
Proceeds from VanderDash support students, teachers, and staff. Funds are intended for playground and classroom improvements and for school programs at Vanderlyn. VanderDash is a certified Atlanta Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
When registering, current Vanderlyn students should be entered under their teacher’s name. Parents and other relatives must register as a Parent/Community Member; entries placed under a teacher’s name incorrectly will be disqualified from the class competition. Bib number pickup for the 5K occurs in the school gym on race morning.
Standard registration notes from the organizer: a $25 per person registration includes a race shirt if registered by February 15, 2026. A Family Sponsorship option is listed at $150 and includes five entries, five race shirts, the family name on the event website, and a yard sign.
