About the race
Victoria – Royal Roads is a trail running event held on April 10, 2027 at Royal Roads University in Colwood, Victoria, BC. The event takes place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Esquimalt and Songhees First Nations.
Distances offered include:
- 11 km long course, approximately 300 m vertical gain, aid station at 7.5 km
- 6 km short course, approximately 100 m vertical gain
- 1 km kids race, fees support South Vancouver Island Nature Trails Society
The event is staged on the grassy field at the campus entrance and uses single track trail sections on the university grounds. The long course has one aid station offering water, Gatorade and small snacks; the short course has no aid stations. Events are cupless, participants must bring their own drink container or purchase one from the event merch tent.
There is adjacent dirt track parking with parking volunteers and pay parking in effect. Bib pick up is at the registration tent in the field and requires a government issued photo ID; pick up times are staggered. Course maps and Strava routes are provided by the organizer.
