Event details
The Vancouver Island Trail Running Series race at Royal Roads University takes place in Victoria, BC on April 11, 2026. The event is staged on the grassy field at the campus entrance of Royal Roads University (7a University Drive / Sooke Road area). Parking is available in an adjacent dirt track with paid parking in effect and parking volunteers on site. Registration for the kid's race supports the Southern Vancouver Island Nature Trails Society.
Race courses and logistics
- 11 km - Long course, approximately 300 m vertical gain, one aid station at 7.5 km.
- 6 km - Short course, approximately 100 m vertical gain.
- 1 km - Kids race.
There is one aid station on the long course supplying water, Gatorade, and small snacks; there are no aid stations on the short course. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own drink containers or purchase a cup on site. Bib pick up requires a government-issued photo ID and occurs at the registration tent on the field with staggered pickup windows. Course maps and downloadable GPX/TCX files are available via the event Strava routes and the race website. Post-race food and a prize draw are provided at the finish area.
