Event overview
The Vancouver Island Trail Running Series event at Royal Roads University in Colwood (Victoria), BC takes place on April 11, 2026. The event is staged on the grassy field at the campus entrance. Course maps and downloadable GPX/Strava routes are provided.
Race distances
- Long Course: 11 km - ~300 m vertical gain, 1 aid station at 7.5 km.
- Short Course: 6 km - ~100 m vertical gain, no aid stations.
- Kids Race: 1 km - registration fees support the Southern Vancouver Island Nature Trails Society.
Logistics and services
There is ample parking in the adjacent dirt track; pay parking is in effect and parking volunteers will be on site. Bib pick up requires a government-issued photo ID and is handled at the registration tent; pick up times are staggered by course. The long course aid station will offer water, Gatorade, and snacks. The event is cupless; participants must bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site. A post-race area will provide food and a finisher draw for prizes.
