Tall Tree 10K : Victoria, BC

The Tall Tree 10K is the second annual race held around Elk Lake in Victoria, British Columbia. The event takes place at Elk / Beaver Lake Regional Park, with the main site at the Filter Beds Parking Lot on Beaver Lake Road. Race package pick-up is also available at Tall Tree Health Cordova Bay, 5325 Cordova Bay Road #140, and on race morning at the race site.

The course loops around the lake and follows lakeside and forest trails, passing through areas of tall trees and including about one kilometre of highway noise. Organizers describe the route as flat and scenic. There is a water station at the 5 km mark; runners are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle because a limited number of paper cups will be available to reduce single-use waste.

The event is run as a not-for-profit fundraiser for Redd Fish Restoration. Race packages include a handcrafted edible cookie finisher medal, custom performance socks, Mateina yerba mate as fuel, and additional items. Post-race refreshments and prizes are provided. The event program covers weekend package pick-up and on-site race day operations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
