The Event

The Vancouver Aquathlon is a swim-run event. It takes place on Vancouver's waterfront. The event is limited to 100 participants. It is open to individuals and two-person teams.

The Distances

The course consists of two segments:

  • Swim: 750 metres in English Bay, following a marked triangle/rectangle course using the Second Beach Open Water Swim buoys.
  • Run: 2.5 kilometres out-and-back on the Seawall, a flat, paved path.

The Format

Participants start with the swim, exit the water at Second Beach, and complete a quick transition to change into their running gear. The run starts immediately after this transition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
