Event Overview
The Van Duzer Wine Run 5k takes place at Van Duzer Vineyards in Dallas, Oregon. The event consists of a single lap through the vineyard grounds. This is a cross country style course that includes inclines and areas of uneven footing. Participants are welcome to either run or walk the route.
The event is chip timed, and results are posted online. While minors are permitted to register and participate at a discounted rate, they do not receive wine related items. Strollers are permitted on the course, although the terrain is uneven. Due to USDA regulations regarding produce farms, dogs are not allowed at the venue.
Participation and Awards
Registered participants receive a variety of event items:
- 5 km run or walk
Included in the registration is a ring spun cotton t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a race bib. Participants of legal age also receive a shatterproof, collapsible wine glass and a pour of wine after crossing the finish line.
Custom awards are provided for the top three finishers in several age categories, ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over. Competitive runners seeking these awards are required to start in the first wave. Age group winners can collect their medals at the registration table on the day of the event once results are verified. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race at the vineyard.
