Salem 50k
The Salem 50k is a looped running event at Bush's Pasture Park in Salem, Oregon, held on December 6, 2026. The course uses a 3.33 km loop entirely inside the park and mixes paved and unpaved surfaces.
The loop is about half asphalt and half gravel or dirt and includes two notable climbs that account for roughly 120 feet of elevation gain per lap. The start and finish are located at the bottom of the soap box derby hill off of Mission Street.

A basic aid station sits just beyond the start/finish so runners can access aid every 3.33 km. Available items include water, Tailwind, PB&J, fruit, sweet and salty snacks, and limited hot food. Organizers do not provide cups or bottles but will store a runner's cup or bottle if one is brought. Organizers advise that 30k and 50k runners should not depend solely on race-provided solid food; water and Tailwind will be available.
The event emphasizes a simple format with no large sponsors, medals, or age-group awards. Every entrant receives the Salem 50k race cap produced by the organizers. Registration opens August 18, 2026, with price increases on September 1 and November 1. Club groups of ten or more may arrange a group discount with the organizer.
