About the race
The Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run ® is the 21st annual run and walk held at Valley Forge National Historical Park in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. In-person events are scheduled for April 18, 2027. A virtual 5 mile option is available with a multi day participation window.
Distances offered include:
- 5 Miles for in person run and virtual participation
- 2 Miles for an in person walk, untimed
All proceeds from the event are designated for park projects to enhance the visitor experience in Valley Forge National Historical Park. Registration for the in person events opens November 11, 2026 and closes December 31, 2026; the virtual 5 mile registration closes April 17, 2027. Fees vary by entry choice and by military status.
Specific event rules noted by the organizer include that dogs and strollers are not permitted in the 5 mile race. Veterans and currently serving military personnel are eligible for a five dollar discount on applicable entries and must present military identification. The virtual 5 mile choice includes access to the RaceJoy app for use while running anywhere. The 2 mile walk is part of the in person event and is not a timed competition.
