Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run
The 20th Annual Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run is an athletic event held at the Valley Forge National Historical Park in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This event offers several ways to participate within the historic landscape where the Continental Army was stationed during the winter of 1777-1778. All proceeds from the race are donated back to the Valley Forge National Historical Park.
The course is set on internal park roads, providing a scenic environment characterized by the heritage of the Revolutionary War. Participants encounter a landscape that includes various hills throughout the 5-mile route. In addition to the primary running event, there are walking options and specialized categories for military members.
The available distances and categories include:
- 5 Mile Run
- 2-Mile Walk
- Military 5 Mile Run
- Military 2 Mile Walk
- Virtual 5 Mile Run
The virtual participation option allows individuals to complete the 5-mile distance from any location during a designated week in April. For those attending in person, the event provides race monitoring through Racejoy map tracking and offers awards for participants. Registration fees increase after March 27, 2026.
