Generations Reindeer Run
The Generations Reindeer Run is a community athletic event held in Souderton, Pennsylvania. Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5 km Run
- 1 mile Fun Walk
The event is held regardless of weather conditions, proceeding in rain, shine, or snow. The 5 km course is described as featuring hills through the local area. While volunteers are present to guide participants, some roads remain open to vehicle traffic during the event.
The registration fee includes a long-sleeved t-shirt (with sizes guaranteed if registered by the early deadline), a pair of reindeer antlers while supplies last, and a post-race breakfast. The breakfast menu typically includes hot breakfast burritos, granola bars, coffee, hot chocolate, and fresh fruit. Participants also receive one entry for raffle drawings.
Prizes are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in both gender categories across various age groups ranging from 0-9 to 80 and over. Additionally, prizes are given for the most festive race wear.
Proceeds from the event benefit community programs and Meals on Wheels. Free parking is available at the venue lot, accessible from North 2nd Street and Ridge Avenue, with additional street parking on Ridge and Fairview Avenues. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
