The Leftovers Run
The Leftovers Run takes place in Lower Perkiomen Valley Park on the Sunday following Thanksgiving. This event supports The Daily Bread Community Food Pantry in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, through a portion of the registration fees and all direct donations. The race field is limited and utilizes public trails that remain open to other users during the event.
Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- 4.1 Miles: This course follows the Audubon Loop Trail.
- 13.1 Miles: The half marathon route travels on the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) to Phoenixville before joining the Audubon Loop.
The event features a unique selection of participant items. Instead of event-specific designs, runners choose from a collection of leftover shirts, buffs, or socks during packet pickup. Upon completing the run, participants select a finisher's medal from previous RUNegades events, which includes a special plaque on the back for this race.
The courses include water stations positioned approximately every 2 to 2.5 miles for the longer distance, with one station provided for the shorter distance. The event allows leashed dogs and strollers on the course. To accommodate all participants, a course time limit is set for midday. Those interested in a multi-race experience can bundle this event with a 5K race held in Phoenixville the previous day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
