Elves for the Shelves 5K, Walk, and Fun Run
Elves for the Shelves is a community fundraising event that takes place at Radnor Memorial Library in Wayne, Pennsylvania. The event offers a timed 5K race with age divisions from 6 and under through 70 plus; prizes are awarded to the top three overall finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group. The 5K is professionally timed.
Additional options include a 2.3 mile walk along neighborhood streets that starts and finishes at the library and is stroller and wheelchair accessible, and a half mile untimed Fun Run/Walk for all ages. All Fun Run participants aged 12 and under receive a finish medal, and Santa will be in attendance. A virtual runner or walker option allows participation from another location.
Participants may form family or company teams and set individual or team fundraising goals. Fundraising incentives and recognition are offered for donors or fundraisers at $100, $300, and $500 levels, including listing on a Thank You Banner. Packet pick up is available the day before in the library's Winsor Room or on race morning. Race day parking is free in municipal lots and on street; W. Wayne Ave will be closed for the event.
