Valerie Stevens 5k/10k Memorial Scholarship Run/Walk

The event takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Bridgeport, Illinois at Lanterman Park, 349 Park St. It is a memorial scholarship run and walk held in honor of Valerie Stevens. Scholarships will be awarded to seniors at Lawrenceville High School and Red Hill High School. Participants who register by March 29 are guaranteed a shirt size. A course map and a race shirt design from 2025 are shown on the event page.

The 10K course is two laps of the 5K course. Awards for the 5K include first male and female overall and age-group awards for the following groups: 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-100. Awards for the 10K go to the top three male and female finishers.

Registration pricing and deadlines are listed for each event. In-person entry fees increase after February 28, 2026. Virtual event registration closes on April 24, 2026.
