White Squirrel Kids Triathlon
The White Squirrel Kids Triathlon is a youth triathlon at Musgrove Aquatic Center, 403 East Florence, Olney, Illinois, for participants aged 3 to 15. The event is untimed and a visible clock will be available for parents to watch and to time participants if desired.
Race divisions and distances:
- Family Division (Ages 3 to 8): 25 meter swim; 1/2 mile bike; 1/4 mile run/walk.
- Sprint Division (Ages 9 to 12): 50 meter swim; 2 mile bike; 1/2 mile run/walk.
- Iron Division (Ages 11 to 15): 150 meter swim; 3 mile bike; 1 mile run/walk.
Parents may enter the water with their child in the swim portions. Helmets are required for the bike portion in all divisions. For the Family Division, one parent or guardian must assist a child in the transition area and may be present in Transition to help.
Registration fees differ by residency. Richland County youth have covered registration fees through a grant; non Richland County youth have a fee of $25.
