About the race

CIRCUIT RUNNING presents an inaugural Valentines track event at the YMCA Newark and Sherwood Community and Activity Village. The event is organised as a seven hour challenge on a 400 metre athletics track, with participants completing repeated laps. Runners and walkers are both welcome.

Participants may start a final lap up to 6:59:59 hours into the event and may finish that lap even if it takes them past seven hours. The course is composed entirely of laps of the 400 metre track.

Available race options include:

  • 3 km
  • 5K
  • 10K
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra marathon
  • 50k
  • Time challenge

Finishers receive a Valentines Run medal and a goody bag. An aid table will be available at the end of each lap offering water, squash, fizzy drinks and a variety of food. The venue provides toilet facilities in the main building. There is parking at the venue; the organiser requests car sharing where possible. A bag drop area will be provided at the start and finish but it is not a secure storage area.

Event instructions will be emailed to participants seven days before the event and race numbers are collected from registration on the morning of the event. The event is organised under UKA Athletics rules, which set age based maximum distances for younger competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
