Turkey Trot Half Marathon 2026
The Turkey Trot Half Marathon is scheduled for 13 December 2026 in Keyworth in the South Nottinghamshire Wolds. The event is organised by the 1st Keyworth Scout Group and is described as an established part of the December running calendar.
The course is well marked and marshals are present to guide and protect runners. The organiser notes that the quality of the course and its organisation encourages many runners to return.
Prizes are awarded to the first three overall finishers, winners of each age category, the first local runners living in villages on the route, and the first team based on the best three runners. There are also spot prizes.
Facilities include free parking across three village car parks within walking distance of the start and finish; St John’s Ambulance first aid at the start and finish plus roving first aid on the route; three drinks stations on the route; toilets, refreshments and kit storage; trade stands including running shoes and equipment; and pre and post race massage. At the finish, runners receive a complimentary tea, coffee or cold drink and a selection of post race snacks. Supporters can relax indoors with entertainment while waiting for runners.
