USA Beach Running Championships
The USA Beach Running Championships take place in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The event is held entirely on hard-packed sand during low tide conditions. Participation is open to all runners as there are no qualification requirements for entry. Walkers are permitted to participate in the 10 km distance.
Participants can choose from three different distances:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
- 10 km
- 15 km (9.3 miles)
Each distance includes a barefoot division, and wearing shoes is optional for all athletes. Participants receive a themed running bib and a finishers medal inspired by sea creatures. The event includes a post-race gathering on the beach featuring live music and refreshments such as champagne and mimosas.
Awards are presented following the conclusion of the races. Registration is available online until the Wednesday before the event, with walk-up registration options provided during the packet pickup on the Saturday prior to the races.
