New Year 5K & 10K at Trussville, AL
The event takes place in Trussville, Alabama, at 215 Parkway Dr, 35173. Two race distances are offered:
- 5K
- 10K
All entrants must register online on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Registration fees listed for the event are $30 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K. Packet pickup is available on race day during a limited window before the race.
The course is described as an out-and-back segment of 0.78 miles. Runners complete multiple repeats of that segment: the 5K uses two repeats and the 10K uses four repeats. There is a course time limit of 2 hours.
Support and amenities near the starting area include parking in a lot, park restrooms, and refreshments at the starting line consisting of water, a fruit or gummy snack, and a granola bar. Participants have access to those refreshments on each lap and after the race. Race Club t-shirts are mailed to new club members after registration; no shirts are available on site.
