Medal Madness 5K & 10K at Gainesville
The Medal Madness event in Gainesville, Florida, is part of the US Road Running race series. This event features two main running distances for participants:
- 5K
- 10K
The race is conducted on an out-and-back course measuring 0.78 miles (making the full loop 1.56 miles). Participants in the 5K category complete the course two times, while those participating in the 10K category complete the course four times. The entire event has a course time limit of 2 hours.
As part of the US Road Running series, runners earn points toward seasonal rankings. Registration must be completed online through RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration on the day of the event. Packet pickup is available at the race location, starting 30 minutes before the event and concluding 10 minutes before the start.
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photo is taken before the race begins. A Best Costume award is presented at the start of the event. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
