US Road Running - Stony Hill
The US Road Running event at Stony Hill in Raleigh, North Carolina, features competitive road races on a concrete surface. Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The course is designed as an out-and-back loop measuring 1.56 miles in total. Runners participating in the 5K complete this out-and-back section two times, while those in the 10K complete the section four times. A total course time limit of two hours is enforced for all participants.
Logistics are centered around the north side of the park near the playground, where parking and bathroom facilities are located. The park gates open one hour before the official start. Packet pickup is conducted on-site, beginning 30 minutes prior to the start and concluding 10 minutes before the races begin. Registration must be completed online in advance through RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration.
All finishers receive a medal upon completing their respective distance. Participants are also encouraged to wear costumes, with an award given for the best costume at each event. The races contribute to the US Road Running series points standings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
