Viking 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Slidell, LA
The event offers three distances: a 5K, a 10K, and a Half Marathon. All events start together. The general course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The 5K and 10K share a 0.78-mile out-and-back segment. Participants run this segment multiple times to complete their chosen distance. The 5K requires two loops, and the 10K requires four loops. The Half Marathon uses a different 1.09-mile out-and-back segment, which participants run six times.
Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race start and ends 10 minutes before it begins. All participants must register online in advance; there is no on-site registration on the day of the event.
The race takes place at John Slidell Park, located at 105 Robert Blvd in Slidell, Louisiana. Parking is available at a location marked on a map, which is within walking distance of the start and finish area.
