Luau 5K and Half Marathon at Wilmington
The Luau 5K & 13.1M is a local running event held at Halyburton Park in Wilmington, North Carolina. The event features two distinct distance options conducted on out-and-back courses.
- 5K - This course involves a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop that participants complete two times.
- Half Marathon - This course consists of a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop that participants complete six times.
Registration must be completed in advance through the online platform; there is no option for on-site registration. Participants can pick up their race packets beginning 30 minutes before the start, with the pickup window closing 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the event.
All finishers will receive a medal upon completing their race. The event also includes a costume component where participants are encouraged to compete for the best costume award. A total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all course distances. Parking and the starting line are located within the vicinity of Halyburton Park.
